Reading is a vital component in the primary classroom.  However, many students demonstrate deficits with some of the basic skills that are necessary to become proficient readers.  My research looked at finding time during the course of the day to provide these students with additional instructional time.     You can view the attached power point or visit the University of Florida - Center for School Improvement website for a copy of the complete research project.
